An individual client record can have only one primary counselor but they can have multiple additional counselors.

How to add an additional counselor to an existing client record?

To add or change the primary counselor for a client, you will need to edit the client record:

However, you can use the "Counselor" panel on the right hand side of the client screen to add additional counselors to a client record. You may add additional counselors when they support the primary counselor on a specific topic. For example, there may be times when you want to connect a client with your international trade specialist; or the client may have some questions about cyber security and you want to bring in a specialist to work with the client on this topic. You can link any counselor (other than the primary counselor) to an existing client record, by clicking the "Link" link in the Counselors' panel on the client record:

You can select a counselor from the drop down and assign a role that this counselor will have for this client:

Again, keep in mind that the primary counselor is managed from the client record.

How to unlink an additional counselor record from a client record?

You will need to edit the client record if you want to change the primary counselor, but you can unlink the additional counselor(s) if they are no longer working with the client. To unlink the additional counselor you can go to the client record and unlink them from the Counselors panel. Simply click on the "Unlink" link in the Counselors' panel on the right hand side:

How to find clients with additional counselor assignments?

You can find all clients to whom you have been assigned as an "additional" counselor by using the "Additional Counselors" filter:

To find any and all clients that have additional counselors assigned to them, you can create the following filter:

This filter searches for all clients that do not have a blank additional counselor field, which will give you all clients that do have someone assigned as a secondary counselor.
