Does Neoserra support Unicode text such as Chinese or Arabic characters?
The short answer is Yes, Neoserra supports both the Latin character set as well as the extended Unicode character set including the Chinese and Arabic characters. Neoserra can display the extended character set in the Neoserra data stream, it can display the extended character set on eCenter Direct and all Notes areas within Neoserra support the extended character set.
Neoserra does not support the extended character set in the address or user-defined fields in Neoserra, nor in survey responses. Furthermore, not all report formats will support the extended character set:
- HTML, Word and Excel: Will all disaply correctly.
- CSV: Unsupported and leaves gibberish in the file.
- PDF: The Unicode text drops out leaving the Latin only. No error messages will appear but the characters are removed.
